BEFORE YOU APPLY

The account,
in plain language.

How a card payment reaches you, who holds the money, and what the application does. Rates, payout timing, and the written account terms come after the review.

Where TandemPay sits

You work with TandemPay. Card acceptance and settlement run through our banking and payment partners.

Who accepts the shopper's card?

Our payment partners accept the card on the account we put in place for you. Shoppers pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You deal with TandemPay. We do not hold the funds.

Does any of the money sit with TandemPay?

No. onRamp uses a smart contract that splits the shopper's payment. Your share, the sale minus fees, is USDC in a wallet you control. Fees go to the fee wallet we run with our banking partners. Traditional card processing pays fiat to your bank account. We do not hold your share.

Who converts a card payment into USDC?

A smart contract on Base splits it. Your share, the sale minus fees, arrives as USDC in a wallet you have full custody of, if that is how you want it. Fees go to the fee wallet we run with our banking partners. The relationship stays with TandemPay.

How often does an account close, or a payout get held?

A closure, a hold, or a delayed payout is rare. We do everything we can, working it with you, so it never happens. It has not happened once. We do not hold a balance of your funds.

From the checkout to you

Two ways to get paid. The path is chosen for the catalog, the shopper, and where the business is based.

What happens after a shopper pays?

They pay at your checkout. Our payment partners take the card, and the card number stays with them. On onRamp, a smart contract then splits the payment: your USDC on Base goes to a wallet you control, and the fee goes to the fee wallet we run with our banking partners. Traditional card processing pays fiat to your bank account.

How long does settlement take?

We do not publish a settlement clock. onRamp does not use a rolling reserve. On traditional card processing, the payout schedule is agreed after the account is approved.

Which stablecoin and network do you use?

USDC on Base. That is the onRamp settlement. This site does not offer a list of other coins or chains.

Can we be paid to a bank account?

Yes. Traditional card processing settles in fiat to your bank account. It is available for stores in the United States, Canada, and the European Union, and elsewhere on request. onRamp is the path that pays a wallet and does not need a bank account for that settlement.

Where can the shoppers be?

onRamp is currently for shoppers in the United States, except New York and other places where the card on-ramp is not available. Some card issuers also block it. Coverage is expanding. Traditional card processing follows the store: the United States, Canada, the EU, and other places on request.

Which cards and wallets work?

Visa, Mastercard, and other supported cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, on both setups. The review confirms what is turned on for your catalog.

Catalogs

The review is about the products you actually sell. Applying does not approve them.

What kinds of stores do you work with?

Research peptides and other research compounds, kratom, hemp and CBD, functional mushrooms, supplements, and nutra. Another specialty catalog can apply as well. An application starts a review. It is not an approval, and it is not permission to add products later.

Do you confirm the exact products before anything goes live?

Yes. Nothing goes live until we have reviewed the catalog with our payment partners. The merchant category is set in that underwriting. We do not print one on this website.

Can you help with the website itself?

If you want it. We can help with product claims, age gates, policies, and checkout wording. Building or updating the store is a separate service. Neither one is required to apply.

Chargebacks and pauses

onRamp does not use a rolling reserve. A hold or a delayed payout is rare. We do everything we can, working it with you, so it never happens. It has not happened once.

How are chargebacks and refunds covered if there is no reserve?

onRamp does not keep a rolling reserve of your money. Chargebacks and refunds are covered in the account terms our payment partners put in front of you before you go live.

How often is a payout held or delayed?

A hold or a delayed payout is rare, and it is not a balance TandemPay is holding. We do everything we can, working it with you, so it never happens. It has not happened once.

The application

The form is a first look. Pricing, payout timing, and the account agreement come after that review.

What should we send first?

The business name, your name and work email, the website, what you sell, where the business is based, the store platform, whether you want to discuss onRamp or traditional card processing, an expected monthly volume, and any note you want to add. Do not send card numbers, bank logins, or government ID.

When do underwriting documents come in?

Only if the review needs them, and only through a secure channel we provide for that purpose. The website form is not the place for those files.

Which terms apply?

The terms and privacy notice on this site cover the website and the application. An account has its own agreement, and you see that before anything goes live. Sending the form does not open an account.

Do you publish rates?

No. Pricing depends on the catalog and the review. An application does not set a rate, a minimum, or a contract term.

Who controls the USDC wallet?

You do. Your share of each sale lands in a wallet you can fully control. The smart contract only splits the payment. It does not hold your wallet. Fees go to the fee wallet we run with our banking partners.

What if we need to talk to someone?

Email contact@tandempay.io, or apply. We read what you send and follow up about fit. We do not publish client names or partner references on this site.
